Summertime and the Living is Easy
Tragedy on the Rope Swing...
Summer is in full swing here and the weather is perfect for swimming. But I won't being swimming today-- and not tommorrow either.
You see, I've been the unfortunate victim of a rope swing accident. The doctors tell me that with the most advanced care available, a team of specialists, and several hours of hard work I *might* be able to get the stitches out of my foot and walk again within 9-10 days after the injury. But it's too early to know anything for certain. I have to face up to the fact-- however ugly-- that it could be eleven or *even* twelve days...
Could it have been avoided you ask?
Well, let me ask you: can anything be avoided in this crazy mixed up life?
No. When destiny calls a man has no choice but answer.
